Haad Yao
Haad Yao is a beach on the north-west coast of Koh Pha Ngan with a shallow house reef that is dived straight from the shore. Table corals, brain corals and barrel sponges cover the shallows, and towards the west the reef ends in a small wall that drops to around 10–16 m. It is used for training, snorkelling and beach dives, and the local dive centre also runs night dives here to see bioluminescent plankton.
