Lighthouse Bay
Lighthouse Bay is a small bay on the north-east tip of Koh Tao, below the island's lighthouse. A gently sloping reef of granite rocks and coral bommies runs from about 4–6 m in the shallows to the sand at around 18 m, deeper along the outer edge. Fusiliers and snapper school over the bommies, groupers and moray eels shelter between the rocks, and blue-spotted stingrays rest on the sand. Operators mostly use it during the south-west monsoon, when the island shields the east coast.
