Sairee Reef
Sairee Reef is the long, gently sloping fringing reef just off Sairee Beach on Koh Tao's west coast, starting only a few tens of metres from the sand. Most of it lies between about 5 and 10 m, with the outer edge around 12 m, and there is usually hardly any current. Schools of fusiliers and young snapper gather along the edge, while blue-spotted stingrays and moray eels are regular; eagle rays and turtles turn up occasionally. It is mainly used for training, refreshers and night dives.
