Homerun Reef
Homerun Reef runs north along the east side of Racha Yai, just north of Bay 1, and is a classic last dive of the day because it points the boat back towards Chalong. The reef is typical of Racha Yai – mostly staghorn, branching and pore corals – starting at 5 m and sloping to sand at about 20 m. Schools of two-spot and yellow snappers and goatfish are common, along with trumpetfish and cornetfish, while large rays, leopard sharks and blacktip reef sharks have also been recorded. A small speedboat wreck lies just off the main reef at around 23 m.
