Monkey Beach
Monkey Beach (also called Sam Haat) is a sheltered reef a short longtail ride from Phi Phi Don's main pier, protected inside Ton Sai Bay. The reef slopes down to about 18 m and suits all levels. Moray eels, shrimps, cuttlefish and razorfish are typical, octopus turns up now and then, and yellow tigertail seahorses are a prize find. It is also used for night dives, when bioluminescent plankton lights up the water.
