Sharkfin Reef
Sharkfin Reef is a long submerged granite ridge running from Ko Payan (island 3) towards Boulder City; at low tide its top breaks the surface like a shark's fin. The north-east side is a gentle slope of stacked boulders with hard corals, while the south-west side drops away more steeply like a canyon. A large swim-through links the two sides. Look for leopard sharks on the sand, bumphead parrotfish, Napoleon wrasse, batfish and ribbon eels in the rubble.
