Kuda Laut
Kuda Laut ('seahorse'), also called Lettuce Surprise, lies in a bay on the mainland side with a view of the volcano. A lava flow forms crater-like hollows filled with lettuce and other hard corals, set on a flat black-sand slope. Mandarinfish used to live in the lettuce coral, and seahorses, flamboyant cuttlefish, filamented ghost pipefish and coconut octopus have been seen.
