Police Pier
Police Pier is one of the first dive sites opened in the strait: black sand, rubbish and the pilings of a working pier on the mainland side. Orange sponges here make it a good place for painted frogfish, and harlequin shrimp, waspfish, barramundi cod, fire urchins with Coleman shrimp and ornate ghost pipefish have all been found. The introduced Banggai cardinalfish shelters among urchin spines and anemones.
