House Reef
The house reef of Wakatobi Dive Resort starts a few steps from the bungalows. Seagrass beds lead out to a reef top and a drop-off roughly 70 m from shore, where many sections fall away vertically. Under the resort's jetty, concrete beams and pilings shelter large numbers of fish and often a couple of sea snakes. Along the wall there are anemones with clownfish, nudibranchs, shrimps and crabs, while turtles, eagle rays, batfish, trevally, barracuda, octopus, broadclub cuttlefish and the occasional pygmy seahorse are reported. Guests can dive it at any hour without a boat.
