Teluk Maya
Teluk Maya ("beautiful bay") lies close to the resort and combines a sandy bay with scattered coral patches and seagrass, an amphitheatre of coral stacks around an oval sand patch, and a wall with steep overhangs. Sand bottoms are rare around Wakatobi, so it produces unusual critters: Lembeh seadragons, pegasus seamoths, stargazers, peacock razorfish, mantis shrimp and skeleton shrimp. Schools of batfish, cuttlefish, solar-powered nudibranchs, saddleback anemonefish and fairy and flasher wrasses are also reported.
