Punta Sur – Devil's Throat
At the island's southern tip, a coral cave system starts around 24 m; the narrow 'throat' drops at roughly 45 degrees from about 30 m to 38 m and opens onto the wall near 40 m. The neighbouring Cathedral chamber once held a cross-shaped sponge. It is an overhead, deep swim-through in strong current, not a cenote-style cave.
