Balaton quarry (Trzebinia)
Balaton is a flooded former limestone and marl quarry in Trzebinia, a 3 ha basin about 10 m deep fed by underground springs. The Małopolska tourism listing says it is shared by bathers in summer, the angling society and the diving club. Visibility varies between 2 and 4 m. A 2011 article reports the Poseidon diving club had a base here for nearly 20 years and was then at risk of losing the site.
