Illes Malgrats (Piscina Malgrats, Punta Malgrats)
Two uninhabited islets off Santa Ponça, five to ten minutes by boat from the centres in Santa Ponça and Palma, part of the El Toro and Malgrats marine reserve. The sheltered Piscina Malgrats is only about 3 m deep over sand and rock and is used for courses; deeper routes lead down a slope to Punta Malgrats, a near-vertical wall to about 35 m. 220bars reports barracuda schools and scorpionfish. mallorca.com lists a wall dive with a gentle descent from 10 to 36 m. Position estimated, for orientation only.
